Most home networks use the default subnet mask 255.255.255.0. You can also see the the thermostat’s IP address on your Wi-Fi router’s list of connected devices.Ī subnet mask is used to identify the network location of an IP address. This is your Nest thermostat’s network IP address, which is assigned by your router. You can use the signal strength to help troubleshoot offline issues with your thermostat. A signal strength of 75 is considered strong, while a value of 36 or lower is considered weak. The signal strength has a maximum value of 100. The ping (measured in milliseconds) may also appear. This is where the name and signal strength of the Wi-Fi network your thermostat is connected to will appear.
